This allows ether a single coil with distributor or individual coil packs (2 or 4cyl - wasted spark on 4cyl). RPM input can be from crank, cam or inside the distributor. For wasted spark an extra input needs to be added to denote cyl 1 position. Input can be from magnetic reluctance sensors, optical sensors and hall effect sensors. The above wiring examples can be used for Mega Squirt to supply IGN. Also the #16 AUXOUT wire can be used to activate items by using RPM, engine temp, manifold pressure and throttle inputs; this is especially useful for fan control when used in conjunction with the Mega Squirt.
